Haiti - Taiwan : 20 young professionals scholars, on the departure

Under the leadership of the National Institute of Vocational Training (INFP), 20 young Haitians from the Vocational Training Centers received a scholarship in electrical engineering from the Embassy of Taiwan (Republic of China) in Port-au-Prince. Among the 20 beneficiaries, 5 were recommended by the Ministry of National Education and 15 by the INFP.

Note that this is the first time that the Taiwan Embassy in Haiti, through the "International Graduate Scholarship Program" (ICDF-Taiwan) offers training in Electrical Engineering for 11 weeks in Taiwan. The training areas will focus on the technical skills required by Haiti.

The Taiwan Embassy and the INFP want intensive technical and vocational training to enable them to enter the world of work better in the future or to start their own businesses. They also want to contribute to the socio-economic development of Haiti through this project of advanced training in vocational training.

These young Haitians who were received on September 23 at the INFP by Bernard Bang-Zyh Liu, Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China) and Yves Vilfranche, Representative of the National Institute of Vocational Training (INFP) will leave the country this Wednesday, September 25 to Taiwan.
