Haiti - Politic : 8 days before the inauguration of Michel Martelly

A coordination meeting was held on Wednesday, bringing all the institutions involved in the preparation of events. The teams of the outgoing Government and those of the President-elect Michel Martelly work together to put in place the arrangements and infrastructure, in order to hold the various ceremonies for the inauguration of the former singer Michel Martelly, elected under the banner "Repon Peyizan", who will become on 14 May 2011, the 56th President of Haiti.

Subject to official confirmation, according to the information we have obtained, 3 sites would be concerned for this day of inauguration.

The swearing in will take place next to the Parliament where a structure dedicated to the ceremony is being built on the place of the United Nations, at the bicentenaire.
The Te Deum and the address to the nation will be at the National Palace where three podiums will be built.
After the ceremony, a reception would be planned at the Karibe Convention Center.

For now, a dozen of foreign dignitaries including the Dominican President Leonel Fernández would be already on the list of confirmed guests. All the arrangements : welcome at the airport, accommodation, transport and security of the dignitaries, are currently being studied by all concerned, in order to make of this historic day, a true success .
