Haiti - Weather : Floods at least 3 dead (Partial balance)
Thursday, a trough on the Caribbean region has caused heavy rains in some departments of Haiti and caused flash floods and floods especially in the Northeast and South.

At the level of the North-East Department, several localities of the commune of Ouanaminthe are flooded. The Communal Emergency Operations Center (COU) has been activated to manage temporary shelters, damage assessment and needs analysis. The Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC) will inform the population of the extent of the damage and emergency measures that will be adopted to accompany the population.

In the southern department, 4 communes affected. Camp-Perrin especially in the 3rd section, agricultural losses and cattle were recorded. In Coteaux, about 40 houses are flooded. On Île à Vache, several gardens are completely devastated.

On report deaths to Torbeck and 1 to Les Cayes already supported by the town hall.

Faced the rainy activities still planned on Haiti, the DPC reiterates to the inhabitants living in areas at risk of floods, rockfalls and landslides, to remain vigilant and to respect the usual safety instructions in case of heavy stormy rains.
