Tuesday faced the crisis experienced in the country, Senator Carl Murat Cantave, President of the Senate and the National Assembly delivered a long message to the Nation sometimes with lyrical accents where, among others, he advised the Head of the State to take the steps "to start immediately and without delay the dialogue in which you have incessantly engaged the national and international community for more than 6 months [...]" underlining "[...] the dialogue is the only and the only salvation for the resolution of our ills."

Senator Cantave asked President Moïse to put his mandate on the table of dialogue, but also the mandates of elected officials of the Legislature and those of the Judiciary.

Cantave underlines "[...] Today, instead of tearing ourselves apart, we have only one choice, that of bringing us together as brothers around [...] the wishes of the people. Today, we have the choice to deliver or to be delivered, we have the choice to serve or to be served, we have the choice to win or lose, to win or to be defeated.

[...] The Senate by the voice of its President apologizes to the entire Haitian people for its setbacks, its faults, its inconsistencies, its excesses and vouches for this dialogue to save what can be saved. The Senate will not die [...]

The Senate Speaker that I am still, calls the senators, all chapels together, on an urgent basis, a foundation of duty to sew up the torn senatorial fabric and to reflect on a quick scenario of a way out of the crisis. Absenteeism is no longer appropriate, the policy of the empty chair no longer holds. The country needs us !"
