Panic in Pétion-ville

Martissant : one dead and several wounded
Thursday, the body of a man without life was discovered at the beginning of the evening at the level of Martissant (southern entrance of Port-au-Prince). The dysfunctional judicial power
Jean Wilner Morin, President of the National Association of Haitian Judges, expresses his concern about the deterioration of the rule of law because of the dysfunction of the judiciary. "Justice is absent, nonexistent" lamented the magistrate, noting that judges are unable to go to court because of widespread insecurity. "The rate of prolonged pretrial detention is exploding,", he said, citing human rights violations of detainees.

49 people killed by bullets in 1 month
According to a non-exhaustive balance sheet of the Episcopal Commission Justice and Peace (CE-JILAP) from September 16 to October 23, 2019, at least 49 people were killed by bullets during the demonstrations, the majority in the area metropolitan

Canada : Death of Dr. Narcisse
The Embassy of Haiti in Canada is sad to announce the death of Dr. Raymond Narcisse, a very committed personality in the Haitian community of Ottawa/Gatineau.
