On Wednesday at the National Palace, President Jovenel Moïse received the credentials of the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic Cesar Alberto Faes.

President Moïse assured him of the will of the Republic of Haiti to work to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The new Argentine diplomat renewed his country's commitment to continue to accompany Haiti in its efforts to improve the living conditions of its people.

At the end of this ceremony, the new Ambassador Cesar Alberto Faes declared "[...] I am very happy to be here in your country, we spoke with the President of various cases, bilateral relationship, the situation in general. He is very well informed and I hope that we will be able to start again all the cooperation and friendship affairs. As you know Haiti was the first country to recognize Argentina's independence more than 100 years ago, they are very important links at the cultural level, but it is hoped to have deeper links during my term [...]".
