Haiti - FLASH : Scholarships and internships 2020 in France, call for candidacies

The candidacy campaign for Master 2 scholarships and internships for the French Government and its partners (Banque de République d'Haïti / Groupe d'Amitié Haiti-France, Sogebank Foundation) for the 2020/2021 academic year is open until June 5, 2020.

General calendar for all scholarship applications :

June 5, 2020 :

Deadline for submitting application files (master 2, internships);

June 8 to 26 :

Analysis of the files by the Cooperation and Cultural Action Service of the French Embassy and preselection by a joint Franco-Haitian commission. The shortlisted candidates will then be invited to an oral interview. Applicants not invited to an oral interview may consider that their file has not been accepted;

June 29 to July 3 :

Oral interview of the preselected candidates;

Week of July 6 :

Communication of the results (the successful candidates will be directly contacted);

End of August :

Preparation for departure session with the manager of Espace Campus France.

Master 2 scholarships :

These scholarships are aimed at students of very good level wishing to follow a university education at the level of the 2nd year of master in a French public university. They will be given priority in the following sectors:

Economy - Finance - Governance

Sciences & Technologies - Engineering Sciences

Environment - Biodiversity - Rural development

Education

Health (with the exception of medical specializations of a "clinical" nature)

In addition to the scholarship application submitted to the French Embassy, ​​applicants must submit their registration documents to universities via the Studies in France application, no later than March 6, 2020.

Eligibility criteria :

  • Be under 35 years of age on January 1 of the year of allocation;

  • Be of Haitian nationality and reside in Haiti;

  • Hold a university degree at least BAC + 4 or equivalent in the field of study concerned;

  • Not having received a scholarship or internship from the Embassy of France in the previous three years.

    IMPORTANT : You can submit a scholarship application without final admission from the university (but with documents attesting to your application to the training in question). You will be asked for final admission if your application is accepted.

    Internship grants :

    These are aimed at students, senior civil servants and executives from the private or voluntary sector, wishing to follow practical training in a French training center. They are awarded based on the skills of the candidates and the value of training for the development of Haiti.

    Criteria for eligibility for an internship grant :

    • Be under 45 years of age on January 1 of the year of allocation;

    • Not having benefited from a scholarship or internship from the Embassy of France in the previous three years;

    • Adapting the training requested to the needs of the country;

    • The professional qualities of the candidate;

    • For civil servant candidates: the degree of involvement of their administration, both in terms of career prospects upon return and in terms of trainee follow-up.
