Ounaminthe : vandals set fire to cars

For a week in Ouanaminthe (Dept. Northeast) vandals have been burning private cars. At least 5 cars have already been destroyed without knowing the reasons for these acts. Victims threaten to do justice for themselves if the police do not put an end to the vehicle fires.

8 bandits arrested

Last weekend in Titanyen (West Dept.), the Haitian National Police arrested 8 armed bandits including Sunday Mackendy, a police officer (Agent I) and 7 of his accomplices (Jourdain Brunel, Jean Marck, Auximis Ernst René , Claude Jean François, Luc Lucien, Désir Felixo and Blanc Mackenson) member of a Gang operating in the Canaan and Titanyen areas, accused of having hijacked a truck belonging to the Aciérie of Haiti.

Towards a first presidential decree ?

Monday at the National Palace, the President Moïse met the members of the Conference of Presidents and Rectors of the Universities of Haiti (CORPUHA) around the 4 bills relating to higher education and the organization of trades and professions which are tabled in Parliament since 2013 "The CORPUHA delegation requests my administration to take the necessary measures to fill the legal vacuum which has characterized the higher education sector for more than 50 years and widen the field regulated trades and professions in the country."

The first 25 laureates of the Bac admitted without test to the UEH
