Haiti - Health : Surveillance measures are deployed in the country's ports and airports

Following the information session of the Ministry of Health with the support of the National Airport Authority (AAN) for airport executives, ground service providers, concessionaires and airline managers at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport on the risks of the spread of coronavirus (2019-nCov) and their roles in the prevention of this disease; the North Sanitary Department (DSN) organized an orientation meeting with the providers selected for the epidemiological surveillance of the Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) at the Ports (Labadee and the Commercial Port) and the Hugo Chavez International Airport in Cap-Haitian

Epidemiological Surveillance Officers (OSE), nurses of the Rapid Intervention Mobile Teams (EMIRA) and health officers have been selected to strengthen epidemiological surveillance and awareness-raising compared to 2019-nCov in the Nord department.

After the orientation meeting, the providers immediately started to work, starting with awareness-raising in a few public spaces in the area.
