Le Quai d´Orsay updated its December 2019 travelers advice on February 14, 2020, and recommends that travelers wishing to go to Haiti "postpone all travel until further notice".

Updated text :

"The political violence that led to the country's long paralysis ended in mid-November. However, the development of the situation remains very uncertain and the level of insecurity high.

In particular, the country has experienced, since January, a sharp increase in the number of kidnappings against ransom.

It is therefore strongly recommended to postpone any trip until further notice.

On site, it is necessary to exercise the greatest vigilance, in particular during your travels."
