Wednesday at the National Palace, in the presence of the senior officials of the State, personality of the Civil society, the political class and the diplomatic corps took place the ceremony of taking office of Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe (appointed on March https: //www.haitilibre.com/article-30159-haiti-flash-jovenel-moise-nomme-un-nouveau-premier-ministre.html) and his Government and the delivery of the amalgamation by President Jovenel Moïse.

In his speech, the Head of State declared "[...] Let me pay tribute to the outgoing Prime Minister, Mr. Jean Michel Lapin and his Government who have been at the service of the Republic for almost twelve months. They accomplished their tasks with patriotism in a particularly difficult, agitated and uncertain context.

The choice made for Prime Minister Jouthe Joseph was not a coincidence. His experience in public administration and his expertise in various fields make him a reference personality.

We need men and women soldiers who go into battle, who will make war for hunger, insecurity, unemployment. Citizens who will fight smuggling, tax evasion and avoidance, extra-billing, corruption and social injustice.

We need men and women who do not hold ministerial positions to help themselves and get rich. We need dedicated people to transform this predatory state into a servant State.

We need men and women whose exemplarity will give citizens confidence in the State. We need men and women who have a high sense of responsibility and who will display impeccable behavior at all times [...]" adding to the attention of the new Prime Minister "[...] The situation is serious and we don't have much time. The people are hungry and they need security. Get to work quickly, the people expect quick and effective solutions [...]" then to the ministers of the new cabinet "[...] We must work with financial partners, especially the IMF to have a new budget quickly. It is through this budget that we will judge your government [...]"

For his part, the new Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe has promised "[...] My Government will work to restore a security climate in the country. The second priority point of this new government is the reduction of social inequalities. The third priority axis is the revival of the national economy."
