Employees of the State University Hospital of Haiti (HUEH), the largest hospital center in the country, commonly called "general hospital" located in the heart of Port-au-Prince not far from the National Palace, which serves in particular disadvantaged neighborhoods in the metropolitan area have continued to strike since the work stoppage launched on March 2.

The strikers continue to demand better working conditions, a salary increase and the payment of several months of salary arrears.
