Haiti - Politic : The new Minister of the Interior commits to the women of Haiti
On the occasion of the celebration of the International Women's Rights Day (March 8), Audain Fils Bernadel the new Minister of the Interior and Territorial Communities, salutes the courage and the involvement of Haitian women who militate in all sectors both in Haiti and beyond our borders.
This 25th celebration for Minister Benadel is a reminder "[...] that we must work even more so that the empowerment of women and girls is truly materialized in our daily lives."
Recalling that "[...] in a deleterious security climate and when Peace is threatened, the living conditions of women and girls face more obstacles" In this context he invites everyone, regardless of their social status and their political affiliation to "[...] ban physical and psychological attacks and discrimination of all kinds, of which women and girls are generally the greatest victims [...]"
In addition, the Ministry, on the instructions of Minister Bernadel and its Director General Amos Zephirin, undertakes to work for social stability, within the framework of the implementation of public policies in favor of women in particular.
Bernadel affirms that the Ministry will work tirelessly "at the level of all the territorial communities of the country for the restoration of the security climate, having to guarantee the respect of fundamental human rights, especially those of women in particular."
