Within the framework of the 2020 Olympic Championship of the Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF), constituting the last phase of the eliminations of the Olympic Games, Tokyo 2020, which will take place from March 20 to 1st April 2020 in Guadalajara, Mexico the Olympic selection of our Grenadiers U-23 started the advanced training course https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30248-haiti-football-the-olympic-selection-of-grenadiers-in-improvement-internship-in-mexico.html

16 of the 22 Grenadiers selected for this internship participated actively in the first sessions : Abraham Duverger, Alan Jérome, Bicou Bissainthe, Delintz Fertil Pierre, Don Deedson Louicius, Dorlus Eliader, Dutherson Clerveaux, Emmanuel François, Isaac Rouaud Simon, Jean Fritz Boom, Johab Pascal, Kenley Dédé, Matteo Cantave, Patrick Douglas, Peterson J. Joseph and Wendy St Felix.

The other 5 players will arrive in Mexico between March 13 and 16.

Under the direction of coach Jean Claude Josaphat, assisted by Wébens Prinsimé known as "Itala", the players performed their first training sessions on field #2 on Wednesday at the training center "Universidad de Guadalajara", at 4:00pm with a physical session led by the physical trainer, Pierre Chery. Then Josaphat and Itala initiated a light technical work with the ball involving the attackers, the goalkeepers and the rest of the players separately.

In addition, this same training session was repeated on Thursday to allow players, mainly from Europe, to completely get rid of their fatigue due to jet lag and long journeys. Another training session took place in the afternoon.

Note that these sessions were carried out at an altitude of 1,500 m, at a temperature between 22 and 25 degrees Celsius.

In Group B, our Grenadiers will face Honduras (March 21), Canada (March 24) and El Salvador on March 27 and advance to the semi-finals if qualified.
