Haiti - Politic : Prelude to the possible measures of containment of the population

This week, the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) organized a working meeting to define new strategies for distributing food kits to vulnerable people across the country following the instructions of President Jovenel Moïse and "as prelude to possible containment measures for the population" faced the Covid-19 pandemic
The participants agreed to identify priority areas with a view to serving them urgently through the network of local elected representatives. To this end, a distribution schedule must be finalized as soon as possible.
Thus, it is planned to distribute several thousand food kits in a short time to vulnerable populations across the country when Haitians are invited to stay at home to avoid being contaminated by Covid-19 and to demonstrate caution while respecting the instructions of the health authorities.
Among others, have participated in this working meeting: Charles Ernest Chatelier, the Director General of FAES, Nicole Yolette Altidor, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Guy André François Junior, Minister attached to the office of the Prime Minister in charge of citizenship , the Departmental Delegate of the West, Pierre Garry Bernadotte, the heads of the Poverty Alleviation Directorate of FAES and Commissioner Jean Bruce Myrthil who represented the Central Directorate of Administrative Police (DCPA).
