Haiti - Health : Distribution of water to fight against the spread of Covid-19

As part of measures to curb the spread of Coronavirus Covid-19, the government has decided to distribute potable water to disadvantaged neighborhoods without water services.
Access to water is a major problem, because according to the United Nations Children's Fund and the World Health Organization, only 23% of citizens have access to soap and water for washing hands, one of the main preventive measures dictated by health authorities to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
The Ministry of Public Works is also carrying out sanitation works in vulnerable areas, as well as cleaning the drainage network to avoid flooding in public structures such as markets and houses, located in the lower part of the capital.
Covid-19 disease is a challenge for the national health system, which does not have the appropriate resources to protect 12 million citizens.
