Following discussions with members of the Superior Council of Judicial Power (CSPJ) last March, a delegation from the new Board of Directors of the Federation of Haitian Bars (FBH) met this week, Jacques Letang, the Minister of Justice.

On the agenda of this working meeting, the following points were discussed :

• The urgent installation of the Administrative Boards of the School of Magistrates (EMA) and the National Council of Legal Assistance (CNAL);

• The problem of the mode of appointment of the Parquetiers who most of the time does not respect the law;

• The dysfunction of the judicial system and particularly the insalubrity and the climate of insecurity around the Palace of Justice of Port-au-Prince;

• Measures to be taken in the face of the Coronavirus epidemic.
