Thursday, Minister of Defense Jean Walnard Dorneval during a press conference at the Center for Permanent Information on the Coronavirus (CIPC) announced that soldiers from Base Anacona will be mobilized with the mission of accompanying the Ministry of Health in order to secure hospitals and convoys of medical products intended to fight against Covid-19. They should be operational by next week.

He also informed that "Calls for candidates will be launched shortly to recruit middle executives for the Haitian Armed Forces (FADH) including emergency doctors, epidemiologists, computer scientists... in order to strengthen the institution."
