Jérémie city prohibited until further notice
The Jérémie municipal council has formally prohibited until further orders any entry and exit to the city of Jérémie by land, sea and air. However, trucks, boats and planes carrying goods and drugs are allowed to freely enter and exit the city of Jérémie after inspection by the competent authorities.

Journalist "Loucko" wounded by bullet
Eddy Jackson Alexis, the Secretary of State for Communication learned with dismay of the armed attack which was victim the political journalist of Radio Télé Eclair, Luckner Désir aka "Loucko" in the evening of Wednesday April 8, 2020, at Carrefour Pey. Gunshot wounded, Luckner Desire, and two other persons accompanying are in a stable state according to the latest information. Alexis, while wishing the victims a speedy recovery, condemns this despicable act which almost cost the life of a press worker.
