Following the special National Police Superior Council (CSPN) held on Friday April 23 under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Jouthe to address urgent situations within the National Police of Haiti (PNH), it will have taken less 24 hours for these words turn into action.

Saturday, April 24, on the instructions of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Economy and Finance handed over to the administration of the PNH 1,967 checks of salary arrears :

704 checks corresponding to 6 months back wages for the 29nd Promotion (October 2018 to February 2019)

690 arrears of grade checks;

573 back pay checks for the 30th Promotion (October 2019 to April 2020).

The Ministry of Finance emphasizes that for the 30th promotion, 81 notices could not be processed due to the tax identification numbers (NIF) wrote on the notices which do not correspond to those of the Computerized System of Public Expenditure Management (SYSDEP); the inconsistency of the information entered on the notices and the allocation departments available on the Payroll Management System (SYSPAY) and the inter-change between names and first names by comparing the notices and the SYSPAY data. Stating that these different problems will be addressed shortly, on a case-by-case basis.
