Haiti - Diaspora : Message from the Embassy of Haiti in Washington
"The Embassy of Haiti in the United States of America presents its compliments to members of the community and renews the assurance of its commitment to work tirelessly to provide moral support and comfort in this trying and unprecedented period. It also wishes to express its condolences to the families grieved by the death of their loved ones due to the Covid-19 pandemic, in particular to members of ecumenical churches and Haitian-American associations in the United States.

These difficult times call for solidarity, respect and application of health principles and instructions, as well as vigilance. The Embassy encourages everyone to follow the recommendations published on various medical sites such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention www.cdc.gov to obtain more information about the coronavirus and to keep abreast of the many preventive measures and means of protection proposed by the experts.

In addition, the Embassy wishes to express its deep gratitude to the doctors, nurses, firefighters and police who are on the front line in hospitals and clinics. This recognition is also valid for supermarket workers, pharmacists, letter carriers, drivers and all other professions considered essential.

Finally, the Embassy undertakes to communicate any new information that may help members of the community and encourages organizations in the area to share with it any news that may be useful to the community."
