In a statment, Me Lucmanne Délille, the Minister of Justice and Public Security took note of the expiration, since Monday April 27, 2020 at 5:00 pm, of the 72 hours deadline decided by the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30620-haiti-flash-the-residents-of-village-de-dieu-have-72-hours-to-evacuate-before-the-offensive.html asking the inhabitants of Village de Dieu to leave the area in order to "leave the field open to the authorities who are called upon to intervene immediately" to dislodge the armed bandits who are there.

Consequently, "the Minister hopes that honest citizens will no longer be there", warning that "public authority may, at any time during the term, intervene in the Village de Dieu to dislodge criminals who do not stop mourning Haitian families."
