Tuesday representatives of PLAN Haiti handed over office equipment (desks, file cabinets...) and computer equipment (HP printers, DELL computers...) to the responsible of Bureau of School District (BDS) of communes of Croix-des-Bouquets, Tabarre, Pétion-Ville and Ganthier as part of a program aiming to the improvement of the education sector in the West Department. The ceremony was held at the BDS Croix-des-Bouquets with representatives of BDS, of MENFP and of PLAN Haiti.

Djympson Chéry, representative of PLAN Haiti declared at the ceremony "The activities of PLAN Haiti focus on access to education, the improvement of the quality and also the good governance of the the system..." for his part Pierre-Michel Laguerre, Director General of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) declared "The PLAN has always accompanied us, and you know that many institutions receive on behalf of Haiti a lot of money, we are pleased that PLAN Haiti [...] invest this money to help the Haitian people."

PLAN is one of the leading organizations in Haiti. Present in the country since 1973, its programs benefiting 47 000 children and their families in 92 communities, PLAN Haiti is focusing on four themes: the improvement of the quality of education - health, food security and nutritional support - income generating activities and economic security - promotion of the rights of the child and of the youth leadership.
