Haiti - RD : A sorcerer's anti-Covid potion decimates a Haitian family
In the Dominican municipality of Comendador, on the border with Haiti near the city of Belladère (Dept, Center), an "anti-Covid-19" potion from an alleged Haitian sorcerer caused the death of a 5-month-old baby , of his 7 year old sister and required hospitalization of the father and mother who also ingested this potion.
This potion was made from hicotea turtle blood and various other unidentified ingredients and was said to protect the family of Covid-19 and other diseases as well as the "evil eye".
According to the director of the hospital, Dahiana Vólquez, the 7-year-old girl died before arriving at the hospital and the state of health of the two parents is stable for the moment.
