On the recommendation of a report by Lucmane Délile the Minister of Justice and by virtue of the exercise of his right to pardon and commutation of sentence, President Jovenel Moïse published an order in the official journal Le moniteur #105 granting "full grace" ”to 415 ordinary prisoners.

These detainees come from 17 penitentiaries across the country, and their releases contribute to reducing prison overcrowding.

For President Moïse, it was fitting to be lenient in favor of a few common criminals during the pandemic period...
