Haiti - Election : The CEP has a debt of 9 million gourds with the TV stations

The TV awareness campaigns : "Where to Vote" and "Role of representatives", broadcast during the electoral campaign of the second round last March, have still not been paid to the broadcasters.

About 40 TV stations asking the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), the payment of these arrears, amounting in total to 9 million gourds (± 250.000 U.S. dollars).

The electoral institution acknowledges having to pay this amount, affirming despite the delay, be able to honor that debt soon... Explaining that although the institution has provided all the details of these expenses, upon request of Arol Elie, the President of the Superior Court of accounts (CSC), last April, the case is still blocked at the level of the CSC and of administrative litigation (CSC / CA) for appropriate action...
