Haiti - Environment : Quake in the West Department

Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at 11:23 a.m. and 20 seconds in the morning, an earthquake of magnitude 3.3 on the Richter scale occurred in the West Department at 18.463 North latitude and -72.361 West longitude, at a depth of 22.9 kilometers.

The epicenter was located 10 km southeast of Carrefour; 8.5 km south-west of Port-au-Prince and 8 km west of Kenscoff.

No damage has been reported by the Department of Civil Protection (DPC) of the West Department.
