"Car Wash Party" 1 dead and several injured

On Sunday during a "Car Wash Party" in which several hundred people participated ar the rue de l'Enterrement (downtown Port-au-Prince) unidentified individuals opened fire on the participants. At least 1 death and several injured who were rushed to the hospital of the State University of Haiti.

Inflation above 23%

The inflation rate reached 23.4% year-on-year on May 30, according to figures released last week by IHSI. "This level of inflation is the highest recorded in the economy since 2004," commented economist Enomy Germain, adding that the rate is 27.1% on food products and 44.6% on drugs.

Death of Municipal Commissioner Sony Narcisse

Sunday July 19 in the early evening, Municipal Commissioner Sony Narcisse died of a heart attack. He was Deputy Commissioner Principe Paul Ménard, Head of the Pétion-ville Police Station. Panic at Saint-François de Sales Hospital

Great panic on Monday morning at the Saint-François de Sales Hospital in the city center where individuals had erected flaming barricades in front of the main entrances to the institution.
