Haiti - Education : 13 Haitian doctoral students, winners of the Anténor Firmin scholarship (List)

The French Embassy in Haiti, the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) and the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) have selected the winners of the first cohort of Anténor Firmin scholarship holders https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30125-haiti-france-antenor-firmin-doctoral-mobility-scholarships-call-for-applications.html

Out of more than thirty applications received, the Selection Committee for the Anténor Firmin doctoral mobility scholarship has chosen to support the thesis of 13 doctoral students. This first cohort of scholarship holders will leave at the start of the next academic year to pursue doctoral studies in France (including the Antilles), Belgium and Canada.

Mrs VERRET Anne-Laurence: Town planning (in Belgium)

Mr. SALOMON Waselin: Environment (in Belgium)

Mr. GARCON Jeff: Environment-agriculture (in Belgium)

Ms. REID Marie-Claire: Humanities and Social Sciences (in Canada)

Mr. WATSON SaintVil: Mathematics (in France)

Recall that the Anténor Firmin doctoral mobility grant, an initiative of the French Embassy in Haiti, AUF and BRH, aims to strengthen the teaching and research capacities of Haitian universities as well as scientific cooperation between Haiti and the rest of La Francophonie. Doctoral theses are carried out jointly or jointly, involving both Haitian and international researchers.
