Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe, learned with dismay and great emotion the news of the sinking of a boat which occurred Wednesday August 19 off the Turtle Island https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-31585-haiti-flash-shipwreck-in-haiti-at-least-17-dead.html and whose provisional toll according to local authorities, amounts to 17 dead, 9 survivors and several missing

The Head of Government welcomes the mobilization of local authorities determined to do everything possible to find other survivors who say they appreciate the support of the US Coast Guard in the search.

"To the families of the victims and the survivors, the Prime Minister sends them, on behalf of the Government, his deep sympathies while assuring them of his solidarity and support."
