On Saturday, President Jovenel Moïse accompanied by Ministers Patrix Sevère (agriculture), Abner Septembre (environment) and the Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China) Wen-jian KU, local authorities, technicians from SpeedTech Energy Co. LTD. and the local population, inaugurated 7 solar-powered water pumping systems (donation from Taiwan) in the communes of Cité Soleil, Croix-des-Bouquets and Ganthier.

The 7 solar-powered water pumping systems are distributed as follows: 2 in Cité Soleil (Vaudreuil and Sybert), 4 in Croix-des-Bouquets (Lassere, Latremblay and Double Harvest) 1 in Ganthier (Campeau, Ti Market).

These pumping systems are powerful, that of Vaudreuil for example, has a capacity of 33 kw and a flow of 1,300 gallons per minute, allowing to irrigate 150 hectares of land.
