Haiti - Football : National funeral of Ernest Jean-Joseph
Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe informs the general public, athletes and the sports press in particular that "by resolution adopted in the Council of Ministers, the President of the Republic, Jovenel Moïse, decided to honor the memory of the former Haitian international football player, Ernest Jean-Joseph, aka "Ti Nés" died last August 14 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-31542-haiti-football-death-of-legendary-defender-ernst-jean-joseph.html with a State funeral to be organized Tuesday September 1, 2020.

"[...] Erest Jean Joseph made the honor, the glory and the joy of Haitians by his great quality and his talent which he put at the service of his country. Like any great public servant, he knew how to consent and sacrifice what service to the community requires. The Government thus intends to salute the memory of this great Haitian whom he considers as an example for the generation of today which so badly needs a model.

Once again, the Government bows before the remains of this valiant and talented sportsman, and takes the opportunity to offer its heartfelt condolences to the family of Ernest Jean-Joseph and to the great Haitian sports family."
