Haiti - Diaspora : New Ambassador of Haiti to Canada and new Consul in Montreal 20/09/2020 10:18:35 Fritz Dorvilier was born in Gonaïves of a mother from that city and a father from Jérémie. He completed his undergraduate studies in law and sociology at the State University of Haiti in Port-au-Prince. He holds a doctorate in social sciences from the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium. He is currently a lecturer and researcher at the State University of Haiti. His research focuses on education, territorial governance, local development, family demo-economy and justice of the peace. In the same decree, citizen Wien-Weibert Arthus was appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Haiti to Canada Wien Weibert Arthus holds a doctorate in history from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, diplomat and professor of history of international relations. He is the author of "Duvalier in the shadow of the Cold War" (2014), "The underside of Haiti's foreign policy 1957-1963" (2014), "The French diplomatic machine in Haiti" (2012). He has published several articles in scientific journals including "History, Worlds and Religious Cultures" (France) and "Diplomatic History" (USA). HL/ HaitiLibre
