On Thursday, October 8, the Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China) to Haiti, Wen-jiann Ku handed over a batch of 5,000 rapid tests for Covid-19 to the Minister of Public Health, Dr. Marie Gréta Roy Clément.

This donation ceremony is the third that the Embassy of Taiwan has held with the Ministry since the start of the pandemic. Taiwan has always stood by Haiti's side, whether that is by organizing experience-sharing seminars or providing emergency funds and equipment for the detection, prevention and protection against the coronavirus.

Ambassador Ku stressed that in this fight against Covid-19, which threatens everyone without exception, rapid screening tests are of great help, as the second wave of the pandemic gains momentum in other countries.
