It is with deep sadness that Pradel Henriquez, the Minister of Culture learned of the death of the talented and famous make-up artist Pierre Édouard Rosier (41) aka "Maïkadou", a personality of the LGBTQ community, murdered in his apartment in Pétion-Ville, Friday October 9, 2020.

"Pierre Edouard Maikadou Rosier was a talented make-up artist, he knew for years, enhance the brilliance of more than a hundred dance, theater, fashion week and many other shows, with a touch exceptional. 'Maïkadou" was also an actor, he played in the film 'La Rebelle' by the American-Haitian director, Sacha Parisot in 2005. It is really a huge loss for our country

Minister Henriquez demands a serious investigation in order to elucidate this murder which shocks, once again, the cultural sector and presents its sympathies to the parents of the victim, and to the artistic and cultural community affected by this mourning."

Note that according to Justice of the Peace Carl Henry Destin, a warrant has been issued against J.A., the companion of "Maïkadou" with whom he had been living since last March, who has disappeared and does not answer his phone.
