Haiti - FLASH : The Dominican Republic will deploy special commando forces at the border 10/10/2020 12:11:08

To this end, reinforcements made up of members of the special forces commando and mountain battalions will provide the necessary personnel to strengthen the border area. "We are leaving the operations running on our entire border and in the surrounding areas [more than 10,000 soldiers], in order to intensify our fight against any illegal activity," Major General Julio Florián Pérez said firmly. He explained that from now on, the special forces will be in operations in vulnerable areas identified by the intelligence services and will ensure the strengthening of control at informal and difficult access points.
