Haiti - Politic : The MHAVE seeks a solution for Haitians living in Chile

Friday, October 23 Louis Gonzague E. Day, the Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) met with Wilfrid Bertrand, the Director General of the National Archives, Paul Loulou Chery, Advisor to the Presidency and Franckel Jenarisca a Representative of the Haitian community that lives in Chile. The purpose of this meeting was to explore the different avenues of solutions to the recurring problems of obtaining extracts from archives and other civil status documents essential to Haitians living in Chile.

In the same dynamic of moving towards the expectations of the Haitian diaspora in Chile, Minister Day continues talks with the Ministry of Justice concerning the ease of having criminal records and certificates of good life and morals, other important documents to regularize the status of our compatriots abroad.

In order to boost the relations of his Ministry with the diaspora, Minister Day plans to visit Chile soon to inquire about the needs of compatriots and discuss with the Haitian community to take together the adequate decisions necessary to help our Haitian brothers and sisters in Chile.
