On the night from October 24 to 25, in order to guarantee order and security and combat kidnapping in particular, the Haitian National Police (PNH) supervised by the Minister of the Interior Audain Fils Bernadel carried out a "punch" operation at the level of several arteries of Port-au-Prince.

During the operations, several individuals were arrested, notably in Turgeau and Pétion-ville, in possession of illegal weapons, including an assault rifle.

Motorists without a driver's license and vehicles traveling without documents as well as their occupants were also arrested during the operation and several illegal weapons were seized, said Minister Bernadel

Present on the scene of operations, the Minister declared "We will continue to put pressure for the return of peace in the streets and neighborhoods in accordance with the instructions of President Jovenel Moïse to the Superior Council of the Judicial Power (CSPJ)".
