The Ministry of National Education released the final 2020-2021 school calendar, prepared by the Directorate of Planning and External Cooperation (DPCE) which includes 172 school days and 6 days off, 860 hours of teaching for fundamental and 1,032 hours of teaching for secondary.

Opening days and closing of the academic year :

November 9, 2020: Opening of classes

December 23: End of year holidays

January 4, 2021: Resumption of classes

March 26: Easter holidays

April 5: Resumption of classes

July 30: Classes closed

Days off :

November 18: Battle of Vertière

February 15, 16, 2021: Carnival

February 17: The Ashes

May 18: University and Flag Day

June 3: Corpus Christi

Control period :

Control 1: December 14 to 18, 2020

Control 2: March 1 to 5, 2021

Control 3: May 3 to 7

Control 4: July 5 to 30

Official exams :

Permanent bac; March 15 to 18, 2021

9th AF: July 12 to 14

Normal Schools of Teachers (ENI): July 12 to 15

Family Education Centers (CEF): July 12 to 15

End of secondary studies: July 26 to 30

FTP: August 26 to 30

Important dates :

November 9 to 30, 2020: Submission of end-of-year decision lists for the 2019 financial year / (Fundamental, Secondary and ENI)

November 9 to 30, 2020: Establishment of school councils

November 16 to December 22, 2020: Submission of the class training list for the 2020/2021 fiscal year (Preschool, Fundamental, Secondary and ENI)

December 14, 2020 to February 19, 2021: Registration for the 2021 state exams (new)

14 to 31 December 2020: Submission of the list of schools in the 10 departments to the DPCE

January 29, 2021: National School Statistics Day (JNSS)

December 28 to 30 / March 26 to 31, 2021: Training day
