Haiti - Economy : The BRH injects 12 million dollars into the foreign exchange market
On Wednesday October 28, in order to contain the rise in the exchange rate, the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) decided to inject 12 million US dollars into the foreign exchange market.

Breakdown and amount sold on the market :

Unibank: 2 million 125,000
Sogebank: 2 million 110,000
BNC: 2 million 95,000
Capital Bank: 2 million 90,000
BUH: 2 million 80,000
Sogebel: 500,000
GTA: 0.00
BPH: 500,000

Conditions set by the BRH :

1. The BRH selling rate is 62.0000 Gourdes per US dollar;

2. Intermediaries undertake to resell at a rate not exceeding 62,5000 Gourdes for 1 US dollar, i.e. a margin of 50 centimes and will be required to submit to BRH the information relating to the sales made (surname and first name of the buyer , his account number or the management check number, the amount, the rate and the municipality where the sale was made);

3. The amount to be allocated to each company must not exceed 150,000.00 US dollars.
