Haiti - Sunrise Airways : Resumption of flights Holguín (Cuba) / Port-au-Prince and health measures

The "Frank País" international airport, in the city of Holguín (Cuba), resumed its commercial air operations at the beginning of the week with the arrival of flight S6308, of the Haitian airline Sunrise Airways, from Port-au-Prince.

This air link, of approximately 500 kilometers and a little over an hour of flight, will connect with a Jetstream 32 plane (initially 19 seats), the international airports "Toussaint Louverture" in Haiti, and "Frank País", with three weekly flights, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Luggage is limited to 2 pieces of 15 kg, for a maximum of 30 kg and one piece of hand luggage limited to 5 kg. No surplus can be accepted.

Miguel Andrés Peña, Director General of the "Frank País" International Airport, explained that this flight marked the resumption of air operations after having "respected the biosecurity protocols required by experts from the ministries of public health and tourism, as well as the Institute of Civil Aeronautics of Cuba and the Cuban Aviation Company, both of the Ministry of Transport."

As part of the measures implemented in the sanitary control protocol at international airports, the collection of samples for PCR testing of all passengers entering the country in a lounge created for this purpose.

Added to this is the traveler's health declaration as a mandatory process, as well as the disinfection of hand baggage and checked baggage before entering the terminal.
