Haiti - Environment : 5 weather stations for the services of Haitian farmers
The Feed the Future Project Support for Agricultural Research and Development (AREA) supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID-Haiti) has developed and installed 5 wireless weather stations at strategic locations to provide farmers with data in order to better manage their agricultural productivity.

These weather stations help farmers plan the right time to plant and harvest by predicting soil and air humidity, temperature and rainfall.

Almost 100 agricultural advisers and three government meteorologists were trained in the new climate change training program.

More than 500 farmers received essential information and decision-making tools they needed to increase their resilience and income in the face of increasingly variable weather and climate conditions.
