Haiti - Politic : Minustah takes note of the rejection of Prime Minister-designate

The United Nations Mission for Stabilization in Haiti (Minustah) takes note of the rejection, June 21, after a vote of the Assembly of Deputies, of the choice of the Prime Minister-designate by the Preseident of the Republic, Michel Martelly and submitted to Parliament for ratification, in accordance with the Constitution.

The Minustah urges the constituted powers of the State to make every effort to provide to the country, without delay, a Government which, together with Parliament, the actors of the political class, civil society and international partners, will be able to launch the major axes of the presidential strategy for Education, Employment, the Rule of law, and the Environment.

Every day that passes pushes more the anchor of the new constructive political dynamic demanded by the citizens through the ballot box. There is no doubt that all Haitians are united in their desire to see future major projects, including those related to improving their living conditions, moving as quickly as possible
