Haiti - FLASH : Resumption of official mathematics and Creole exams in Petit-Goâve

Friday, November 6, the students of the NS4 of Petit-Goâve, high school and college students, welcomed the decision of the Ministry of National Education to resume on November 27, the official exams of mathematics and Creole which had been prevented last October 22 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-32115-haiti-news-zapping.html by demonstrations of students and addressed their thanks to the officials of the Ministry.

However, the students asked the Ministry to organize all the exams in Petit-Goâve and withdraw the decision to transfer to Grand-Goâve 3 examination centers such as the Lycée Faustin Soulouque, the National School for Girls and the National school of Boys. The candidates questioned the negative impacts and prejudices of such a transfer.

"We will peacefully hold a Sit-in Monday, November 9 in front of the barrier of the Lycée Faustin Soulouque to draw to the attention of the executives of the Ministry to the harm that this transfer could cause us..." affirming "If the exams take place in the centers of Petit-Goâve, there will be no disruption. We are responsible for the good behavior of our comrades," promised the students at the microphone of Radio Préférence.
