Haiti - Diplomacy : Soon release of around thirty Haitians in Panama

An information mission led by Jean Claude Barthélémy, the Director of the Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, is currently staying in Panama City, Panama.

This mission, which is responsible for inquiring into the migratory situation of Haitian compatriots in this Central American country, had an important working meeting on Tuesday November 24 with the migration and internal security authorities of Panama.

The two sides agreed on the need to coordinate their efforts to solve the problems of our compatriots in search of well-being, especially those who, on their way to North America, are stranded at the Panamanian borders and those who, living in some countries of South America, find it difficult to transit through Panamanian territory to return to Haiti https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-32266-haiti-news-zapping.html

In addition, Chancellor Claude Joseph informed "In coordination with the Embassy of Haiti in Panama, the information mission of the Chancellery was able to obtain from the Panamanian authorities concerned the formal promise that about thirty Haitian compatriots, imprisoned for have been in an irregular migratory situation, will be released shortly."
