Haitian gang leader arrested in DR
Saturday, November 28, Adisson Maf, presented as a Gang Leader of the Village de Dieu, a powerful ally of Arnel Joseph imprisoned in the civil prison of Croix-des-Bouquets, was arrested in Santo Domingo by the Dominican authorities. Note that this is the 2nd Gang Leader from the Village of God arrested in the Dominican Republic.
Montreal : Passing of Wladimir Jeanty of La Maison d'Haïti
The Consulate General of Haiti in Montreal learned with great sorrow the news of the death of Wladimir Jeanty, former President of the Board of Directors of La Maison d'Haïti. The new Constitution ready in February
The Independent Advisory Committee, which is working on the draft of the new Haitian Constitution, plans according to its work schedule to submit its final document to the Head of State on February 26, 2021.
Conditions of accommodation at the FIFA Center
Ronald Gérard D'Mezard, the Minister of Youth and Sports, accompanied by a delegation from the Prime Minister visited the FIFA Goal Center Joseph Blatter last week in order to observe the conditions in which 150 young people under 17 live. (125 girls and 25 boys) of the junior selections of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF). The Minister took note of the accommodation conditions and identified the urgent interventions to be carried out and advocated the involvement of the private sector and other State institutions in the efforts to be made to improve the living conditions of selected young Haitians.
