Haiti - Education : Laying of the foundation stone of the Lycée National de Frères
Monday, November 30, in order to expand the educational offer in the commune of Pétion-ville where the national school built in the 1960s, remains the only secondary school, Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet the Minister of National Education accompanied among others by Joseph Nicolas, the Director General of the National Education Fund (FNE), proceeded in the presence in particular of several executives of the school inspectorate of the municipality of Pétion ville, to the ceremony of laying of the first stone the Lycée national de Frères, whose work is financed by the FNE to the tune of 78 million gourdes.

The construction of the National School of Brothers was entrusted in compliance with the procurement procedure to the firm ENSTRAP Ingénierie SA and the supervision of the site to the firm ARCHIVOLT SA, led by the architect Leslie Voltaire, ex-minister of National Education. The work is expected to be completed in 13 months.

This new National High School with an area of ​​650m2 erected on a plot of 4,000 m2 will include two two-storey buildings with 12 classrooms, an administrative block, two sanitary blocks and a dormitory for the guard. Each classroom will have an area of ​​50m2, said engineer Guy Jacques Jean, Director General of ENSTRAP Engineering SA who gave the guarantee that this school will comply with the standard plans developed by the Ministry and will respect all anti-seismic standards. and paracyclonics that can guarantee safety in the event of major climatic hazards.
