Michel Présumé, the Director General of EDH underlined that these 2 power plants on barges will double the capacity of EDH. The barges will be installed in 2021 and the generators will initially be fueled with heavy fuel oil "with the intention of switching to Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) before the contract expires," Karpowership said. Since 2010, 15 Powerships have been completed and installed with a total installed capacity exceeding 2,800 Mw.
