Haiti - Port-de-Paix : Mayor Alusma works for the success of the National Carnival 2021

Tuesday, December 15, 2020, Josué Alusma Mayor of Port-de-Paix and President of the Association of Mayors of the North-West recalled that the National Carnival which should take place this year in Port-de-Paix (February 14, 15 and 16, 2021 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-32481-haiti-culture-2021-carnival-is-in-port-de-paix.html ) "must be an example of our attachment to the city of 'Capois La Mort' adding "Carnival is the very essence of Haitian culture. Carnival is a call for solidarity, cooperation and unity of all Haitians, regardless of their class, level, field, political position and ideological affiliation [...]"

Mayor Alusma affirmed that all the local authorities were working together to gather the necessary resources to allow the population to have a wonderful holiday season "but we are also working for the success of the National Carnival"

Stressing "thanks to the urban redevelopment work which will soon be completed, the North West will be provided with electricity 24/24 [...] It is our duty to contribute to the development of the North West department and especially that of the municipality of Port-de-Paix [...] We are able to show the rest of the world that we can do better to develop the North-West on all levels."
