Haiti - Media : Winners of the 6th Edition of the «Young Journalist Prize 2020»

In the presence of Pradel Henriquez, the Minister of Communication, Emmanuel Adjovi Director of the regional office of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) of the countries of the Caribbean and Latin America, many partners including among others the Representatives of the Embassy of Switzerland, of the Embassy of France, the Jury chaired by Pascal Montoisi, proceeded to the designation of the winners of the 6th edition of the "Young Journalist Prize in Haiti" which took place around the theme "School in Haiti".

Four young journalists, among around forty participants, won the Young Journalist Prize 2020.

In the "Audiovisual" Category Nancy Constant, editor at the online agency "La brève Info" won first place and Rodney Dorléans, journalist at the National Television of Haiti (TNH ) second place.

In the "Radiophonic" Category Witsa Mérisier Payen, journalist at the National Radio of Haiti (RNH) won first place and Akao Dominique Gerson, journalist at KapzyNews the second place.

The first two winners will benefit from internships at Radio France Internationale (RFI) and TV5 Monde and from a one-month observation internship in cultural institutions.

Minister Pradel Henriquez said he was honored to have been associated with this competition which rewards the best works, reports, press articles from young journalists, convinced that this competition opens up the opportunity to these young people in search of new challenges and new professional experiences.
